Bluefield My grandfather was killed in a coal mine in 1945 about four months before my father was born. My grandmother raised 6 kids to be successful and upstanding adults with great families of their own. My life is so good because of their sacrifices. I wanted to do a project that I could dedicate to them and somehow share my life with them. After going through several project names which focused too much on the death of my grandfather, I decided I wanted it to me more upbeat. So, I decided to name the CD 'Bluefield' after the main town associated with my dad's family. It will mostly be recorded retro with instruments bluegrass and mountain instruments to reflect music that my grandparents might have listened to in their day. I'm not sure how my voice will mix with this. But, it should be fun to do and see the outcome. ABOUT THE ROUGH DEMO This song is a rough mix studio demo from Chris Sparks' first recording session in October, 1997. They only had 10 hours to record all of the vocals.
